literally changed the way hip hop is perceived, pushed limits and made post rap as we know it. AE was the album of this generation and he is the most important rapper today.

Death Grips is far more innovative.
Discuss.

>literally changed the way hip hop is perceived
Not for me.
>pushed limits and made post rap as we know it
Are you talking about cLOUDDEAD? I mean, they didn't but they were closer than anyone else to that.
He's cool but settle down
>>72646184
Also this.
>>72646148
>>72646189
Can people stop unironically using "Post-Rap" or "Post-Hop".
>>72646206
I said "they didn't but they were closer than anyone else to that", wich means that post-rap or whatever doesn't exist.
>>72646222
No you didn't:
>>72646241
wtf I didnt now
>>72646184
how and no
>>72646148
No lol
>>72646148
He for SURE pushed limits, I think Danny has a lot to say, still. He has a lot of potential to put out a 10/10 record
>>72646405
im saying
>>72646148
No, that would be Kanye West.
808's & Heartbreak is literally the most influential hip-hop album of the 21st century so far.
>>72646148
kanye's better
>>72646405
yup
>>72646607
>808's & Heartbreak
Kanye West ruined popular music, confirmed.
>>72646607
agree but its still just regular rap
>>72646607
>hip-hop
>>72646607
It's insane to me that out of all of his albums, 808s is the most influential
And like you're mostly right, but it is so far from being his best Album
but yeah he's changed hiphop more than once
remember that TCD was still in an era where gangsta rap and shit was still popular and here came Kanye rapping about materialism and the American Dream
he paved the way for guys like Kendrick and Drake, regardless of what you feel about him he IS modern hip hop and modern music
>>72646721
Hardly anyone puts out albums like Kanye does. They feel so complete and whole and even if you don't like an album of his personally you can never say it's "lacking" in some way. That's where I think he raised the bar the most.
>>72647052
agreed
>>72646184
I fucking hate death grips, but i can't deny they're innovative(ahead of their time imo)
>>72646148
>Post-rap
>Literally every song ends around 3-5 min mark.
>Every song has some type of hook.
>OP is right about pushing limits, but is retarded.
>>72646241
are you illiterate?
What's he called though
Death Grips are one of DB's biggest influences. He wears their merch at his shows.
DG and Kanye are the only ones pushing boundaries. I love Danny, saw him live last year, great show, but I view him as more of a hip hop fanboy who is a good performer than an artists who's pushing limits.
>>72646148
>pushed limits and made post rap as we know it.
I didn't realize he made pic related
>>72646184
Ride's raps are just recycled RZA flows
>>72646607
yeah thanks for making a generation of rappers pretend to be singers kanye
