I will admit OPs album is how I discovered them. They romanticize emotional disfunction and feelings of angst. It's hard not to be aware of a band in the mainstream. It was my shit back in middle/"high"school.

Dookie was before me. Aside from their really early stuff it's their only album today that still clicks with me.
