the knowledge part isn't hard for me but i'm fucking tone deaf so i can't hear an interval for shit

yeah i just took a music theory 1 class in uni and it was 100% memorization. i suspect it becomes more difficult the higher you progress but currently it's fairly easy

Personally when i actually began being able to relate theory back to my instrument it became a million times easier, before that it made little to no sense

Learning to write songs in a certain key and all that basic stuff isn't that hard

helps to own a keyboard and take it one piece of info at a time
