What did the globalist do now?
>>
Listening to it right now, pretty good m8, excited for the album
>>
>>72607066
yup. This is the new mainstream corporate music. LCD Soundsystem might as well be The Stone Temples Pilots or whatever. But worse. At least STP where honest about who they where.

What the fuck does this parenthesis bullshit even mean
>>
Really good and somehow not a complete letdown despite the amount of hype and legacy they needed to overcome.
Nice direction.

do we have to do this every fucking time

Did everyone forget Christmas Will Break Your Heart? I haven't seen anyone discuss that in a really long time.

>>72609454
nobody's gonna listen to that anytime except Christmas, and it was mainly a one-off single

that being said it was pretty good
>>
>>72609531
only listen to it on christmas if you want your heart broken
>>
>Wake up with somebody near you
>And at someone else's place
>You took acid and looked in the mirror
>Watched the beard crawl around on your face
>Oh, the revolution was here
>That would set you free from those bourgeoisie

>Grab your clothes and head to the doorway
>If you dance out, no one complains

omg. that was my last Saturday night (and Sunday morning) except for the LSD part.

Right in the feels. Right in the goddamn feels.

(Seeing her again in a couple weeks, though.)

I bought the 7" inch 2015 but it was after Christmas, so I figured I'd save it for Christmas '16.

My dad passed away last year, so Christmas was plenty depressing enough. I left it at my mother's house and I've moved away and have no idea when I'll have a chance to grab it. I could just download the mp3 but now I'm tempted to put it off forever like some sort of time capsule.
>>
>>72607066
He at least calls out "le SJWs!!!1!! :oooo" though.

Call The Police
>10/10, instant classic
American Dream
>8.7/10, sleepy 1980's vibes

Feels bretty gud, desu
>>
>>72607066
oh yeah

>When oh, we all start arguing the history of the Jews/You got nothing left to lose/Gives me the blues

More psyop bullshit from a fraud artist w/ a pretty much fictitious backstory.
>>
>>72611046
He doesn't call out shit.

First of all the lyrics are fucking terrible.

The only really discernible point seems to be 'don't look into the the Jews'.

I'm sorry, but nothing about James Murphy, LCD Soundsytem or DFA Records is on the level at fucking all.
>>
>>72611100
>First of all the lyrics are fucking terrible.

what ever do you mean?

>>72611076
>>When oh, we all start arguing the history of the Jews/You got nothing left to lose/Gives me the blues

He's practically Leonard Cohen!

It never once dawned on anyone how this fat middle aged man, who can't play an instrument or sing, came out of nowhere, and became a huge star overnight?

Millennials are fucking gullible followers. The Gen Z kids seem smarter.
>>
First track sounds like a decent late period U2 song. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing.
>>
>>72607066

>only half the comments ITT are actually discussing the music
>>
>>72611328
Second track is more Bowie Berlin homage. They used to do this better. It's better than Call The Police though.

I don't want to say it but this is why you don't come back when it's done. Or you give it a new name. Maybe the album will be good though. It'll be better than most pop crap that comes out but everybody knows that already.
>>
>>72611407
that fat fuck probably doesn't even make the music.

He's probably about as real of a musician as '''DJ Kahled'''. Same shit.

Everything about him and his record label fucking stinks.

>>
>>72611432
thanks for bringing the truth to /mu/. finally someone gets it.
>>
>>72611458
Why do people think this? I'm (((out of the loop))). What's the /meme/?
>>
Someone give me a quick rundown on all the LCD Soundsystem hate
>>
>>72611504
>>72611568
It's just like 2or3 people same-fagging in every thread about LCD Soundsystem. Looking up any (((conspiracies))) gets no results.
>>
>>72609458
Ah, so pretty much hes just saying "Im incredibly retarded"
>>
Absolutely love the band and absolutely love the new tracks
>>
>>72611491
thanks

it's time to start taking our culture back from frauds like James Murphy and DFA Records

>Looking up any (((conspiracies))) gets no results.
yep, just your run of the mill indie record label being run out of a $16mil townhouse. Pretty standard.
>>
>>72612431
i was kidding. kill yourself faggot.
>>
>>72612538
who gets it is:

>>72611193
>It never once dawned on anyone how this fat middle aged man, who can't play an instrument or sing, came out of nowhere, and became a huge star overnight?
>>
>>72612564
Wasn't out of nowhere and wasn't overnight. There is such a thing as being part of a zeitgeist. There was money behind DFA from Galkin and Goldsworthy but that doesn't make it a conspiracy. They just signed all their friends to recording contracts. If it wasn't on DFA, it would have been somewhere else.
>>
>>72607034
American Dream is already SOTY
>>
>not Liquid Sound Company
>kys

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBd34Lr09hc
>>
>>72607034
Not really, just like most of their music and I'm not really sure why.

They make above average music for sure, but something about it just doesn't resonate with me at all. Get Innocuous is their only great and truly memorable song to me.
>>
I know he helped produce Arcade Fire's last album, so criticizing this might be a bit weird, but those two tracks sound more than AF than LCD Soundsystem to me. And not just from Reflektor, also The Suburbs.
>>
>>72616250
I can see your point.

I just wish they would release a whole new album at this point.
>>
Call the Police kicks ass
Don't care to hear more like American Dream though, that's a sound they've already done (far better) quite a bit.
>>
New York, I Love You, But You're Bringing Me Down is my favorite LCD song. Call The Police might overtake it though.
>>
What makes LCD sound this good ? I can't put my fingers on it.
>>
>>72617297
mouse pads on the floor toms
>>
>>72607034
First track reminds me of 90s U2 records
>>
>>72616250
Reflektor sounds more like it's a James Murphy's album than AF
>>
>>72617390
Reflektor is Arcade Fire pulling a Rattle and Hum and Achtung Baby in one record.
>>
>>72617400
I can see your point.

Anyway, where's the love for Home ? Def my favourite LCD's song.

>>72612564
