ah. well they're my favorite band so that's probably why i like it so much. it's just super unique guitar playing that uses the weirdest tunings and chords but still manages to sound good and pretty.

aside from sonic youth themselves there's nothing else like it.

oh hey I thought I recognized the layout on the arabic writing one, I liked that release they did of film music from Ahmed Malek last year (habibi funk is the label if anyone else is curious). making a note to check that one out later for sure. and hmm looking at the bandcamp I guess I still haven't listened to the Ahmed Malek & Flako album either, heard that was good.
