Personally, this album changed the way I approach music. I got into it a while back when I was into black metal and melodeath. To see a band that incorporates so many influences and ideas into their sound and lyrics changed a lot. The lyrics DO get pretentious at times, but still

While I do agree with you to an extent, I don't think it tries to be Cosmogenesis really. To me Omnivium has kind of a more - "mature" - sound I guess. it has it's own thing going on
