He died when he went to bed for 3 years. anything after that is just a zombie.
pet sounds is a really well made album with a lot of thought put into it, but anything after that (mainly smiley smile/smile session) is just a bunch of druggy nonsense. some of it worked, most of it didnt.
overall though, i really like him and a lot of his early work.
