What was the first album that you really connected with on a deep emotional level?
>>72572252
my dad showed me joy division in middle school so I spent years with unknown pleasures on repeat while I felt down
Pink Moon.
First album to make me use the term "spiritual connection".
dis one
>>72572252
never stop, starposter
also, pic related
>>72572252
This album showed me to accept my inner ''nu-male'', I finally understood that cuckoldry isn't bad and that we should let women enjoy themselves.
>>72572252
Keep up the good work, Starposter
i realized that we wuz slaves
>>72572252
>>72572252
Emotional level? What the fuck is this gay ass shit?
>>72572331
>good work
Keep It Like a Secret. Stumbled upon it as a YouTube recommendation when I was in high school and fell in love with it immediately. It totally changed how I look at music. I must have listened to it for at least half a year before checking out TNWWL and PFNO.
>>72572252
Probably either Savage Garden or Marcy Playground (both self titled)
>>72572322

Had the CD and listened to it on an old portable CD player while staring outside my window at a corn field.

Let Down is the one and only song that has ever made me cry
>>72573788
this.
the first time i heard MPP it kicked my ass but that was a long time ago anon
Great entry level stuff
Emotionally? Nothing so far. I'm young so I'm hopeful that a band pop up that I can identify with like people did with the Beatles or nirvana. Maybe when music becomes good again
probably Mezzanine, i know it's edgy garbage but it's always fun to listen to
This Album. Crywank hits home in a way that I feel that a lot of you can relate to. For me it was especially biting. The worst part is, I only found this earlier this year. I had never heard a musician accurately portray the nature of my isolation so well. The song Leech Boy hits exceptionally hard.
first album that make me cry
idc if it's not cool to like them, exogenesis fucking gets to me man
Mitski makes me cry
>>72572266
ur dads a cunt
>>72573576
There's really nothing special about this thread.
Honestly this. I was on SSRIs for the first 17 years of my life that drowned my ability to feel. When I got off them and gave this album a listen it was so beautiful.
>>72574435

Who loves you?
>>72573788

>>72573414
It's good your life isn't sheltered
It makes me aroused you have to suffer every second
It's hard to pin down how old you need to be before you can have an "emotional connection" with art. Pic related is one of the earliest examples of music that really affected me, but I was like 7, so who knows if I could've had a real emotional anything back then.
>>72572252
OK Computer, though not so much anymore.
Most recently I connected with NEU! and thought the desolate Leiber Honig was deeply moving .
btw is Star posting the new trend?
Hope by Manchester Orchestra
this shit hit me like a fucking truck
>>72572294

I'm glad you enjoyed the album in a new way anon ^^
Heard Pinkerton at the peak of my 16 year old awkwardness and essentially got a driver's license so i could drive around and listen to it.
>>72572252
Fuck off, Mike
