Because it was a neat concept and actually had a cool almost orchestral meets electronic vibe to it. Linkin Park can make pretty sweeping soundscapes.

It's also the album where Chester isn't forced to carry the entire thing. Mike Shinoda isn't a great voice but he's a decent vocal force in driving beats, and the album is heavy on harmonization and vocal effects that almost make them a part of the experience.

Basically it does what Linkin Park is good at doing while hiding what they're not so good at. Shame they're about to commit career suicide with the new album. Living Things was a decent followup.

Hunting Party and Living Things are the most patrician L.P. albums.
