It's more challenging and polarizing, yup. I put PB = Humanz because I still need some time to make up my mind. But they're very similar I believe. You can really distinguish the post DD phase from the pre DD phase.

All of them are good but Humanz. Even Plastic Beach and the Fall are great compared to Humanz. Both at least have more than 3 passable songs.

She's My Collar, Busted & Blue and Andromeda are all passable imo. It also has Charger which is the most self-titled style track Gorillaz has made since We Are Happy Landfill.

I'd say there are at least 3 good tracks on that album as well.

Personally I can't say I agree. I only keep one or two tracks from The Fall on regular rotation and with Plastic Beach I think the second half has too much meandering autopilot to it. Humanz doesn't reach Plastic Beach's highs admittedly but the quickfire nature of it makes me able to groove to most of it. To me it's the easiest album to listen from beginning to end outside of their first two albums.

I recognize I'm likely the outlier though. I could never get into The Fall, even though I thought it was a cool little "travel diary" gift from Damon.
