Obviously the queen is dead if you say otherwise you are a contrarian

i wanna say none but i kinda have sympathy for u and i wanna give u a tip. stop listening to them faggots b
I only had Strangeways when I first discovered the Smiths so, in a cruel twist of fate, I ended up connecting primarily to the quintessential contrarian Smiths album.

The Queen Is Dead is the best IMO, although I do think you could make a convincing case for any of their albums (yes including Louder Than Bombs)
I've listened to all of them and the only one I kinda liked was Strangeways

Just because it's an assembly of songs from various recording sessions what makes it any less legitimate than the other Smiths records?
Most albums are a compilation of tracks that fit well together; unless a band is going in with a strict concept, which The Smiths obviously weren't

Straneways was initially my favourite but I have become increasingly attracted to the rawness of their s/t. I'm a big fan of bands like Close Lobsters and The Chameleons, and that album is the most rooted in jangle pop and post-punk.
