Why do you like it?
Beautiful colors, cool shapes.

Why do you like that? I like it too, although the colored squares at the top right kinda ruin it.

Its a flipped image of a steamboat making it look like a painting
people still legitimately discuss what is happening on this cover as much as they do with the lyrics and that makes it a perfect companion piece to the album
OP here, the reason I didn't say why I liked the album cover is because the only thing that came to mind is some gay shit like 'It speaks to me for some reason I can't explain why'
Reasons are obvious.

The cool yellow scale image coupled with the smoke gives off the dark, dystopian future that the album describes, making it pair up perfectly.
It looks like the apocalypse. It just goes on and on, with not a single living thing present. It fills me with the kind of existentialist dread normally found in Lovecraft stories.
It fits the title really well and it just expresses a lot to me
Im bad with words so I don't how exactly how to explain this, the varying textures of the painting are just really appealing to me

Simplistic and emotional
all i see are floating cities on a beautiful clear day and it makes me happy
I don't know why but it somehow encapsulates New York City perfectly for someone who's never visited it.

Love this one too. Haven't listened to the album in years though.
ying and yang represented in domination and submission. its also a really interesting drawing and it represents the emotions the album gives off really well
It's just so wonderfully symmetrical
I'd love to know if it means something. Otherwise, it's really nicely designed.
