so far i haven't heard anything i like more than the singles they've released from this album. they're too grown up now, too refined. still good but the edge has dulled.

i was just thinking about how it ALMOST sounds like it fits right in, if they made a followup to their last album a few years later and were a bit more polished. but i wouldnt say it hits that theoretical roughness either

i feel you. it fits in, but it does sound like it's been 17 years. if it was a few years, i feel like the songs would have more roughness. not saying the songs would sound anything like say, incetardis. but i don't think it wouldn't sound as clean as this does.

i dont know if i could confirm or deny anything about the jim ward part
the majority of the songs sorta blended together because of the endless energy and production being similar on the tracks but i would say i liked and would put up a majority of the tracks on the album
it was really good, best comeback ive heard in a while, considering the dozens that come out each year now thats pretty impressive

yeah i definitely liked it but i think they needed a few more tracks with different tempos and moods.
and it sounds like call broken arrow is about marriage, which could be an allusion to the band. and the fact that sparta has several tracks with the word "broken" in the title.
