the new wave of dubstep that you are thinking of is completely different in every way

I like certain parts of Skrillex 2010-2013 discography, he had a great streak of creative and exciting tracks that had great production and catchy hooks.

99% of dubstep is trash though, Skrillex managed to combine decent songwriting with great production while 99% of every other dubstep producers focused mainly on soundesign and drops without any redeming quality beyond that.

I cant stand Getter, which seem to be dubsteps latest lovechild.

I couldnt get into pre 2009 dubstep, lackluster production and too much 420 blaze it faggot for my taste.

I know, then I have other genres to go to for that which I consider better at it. To me it just sounds like bass centric slowed down big beat (or simplistic trip hop) with primitive synth work.
