their rhythm section is lazy as shit, definitely not what I think of when I hear the word "muscular". Codeine's White Birch is much more muscular in that regard, not to mention the production has a far less hazy and dreamy sound which often gets called "effeminate".

and there's clearly an introspective melancholic vibe to the vocals just as in any other slowcore band
