you shitposting in Gorillaz threadz
Most of the people hating on it are just "fans" who just want another carbon copy of Demon Days.
I agree op, alot of fans say if its not DD its bad, the majority hated PB but now they love it. They'll grow on it. I feel like people are just memeing now and spazing out when they say its bad. They probably only herd the album once and didn't even analyse it.

No, not at all, fans know that the original gorillaz sound from the first lp is completely forgoten, and my favourite album is plastic beach, which has a fuckton of rap like humanz, but they are so memorable, catchy, funny and different from each other, like no song here has even a quarter of the charm as something like white flag or superfast jellyfish or sweepstakes
Just finnished allehuya money and back when it premiered i though ok, its ok as a setup track or an interlude but now its one of the highlights, fuck

Busted and Blue was lit.

Gorillaz always did a good job of bringing something surprising from a feature and on this album it's like they were just copy and pasted

I liked it, but its biggest problem is that it's not cohesive. I'm gonna go "this isn't gorillaz!!!!!!" but, every album before this had a coherent theme.
Plastic Beach had a good number of bad tracks but it used a lot of the same instrumentation, the same general sound, etc. all throughout.
Never in Plastic Beach or Demon Days does something just come out of nowhere and sound like it's from a completely different album but that's basically all Humanz is.
It feels like Damon really wasn't involved in most of the tracks beyond providing vocals where he did.
In the lyrical department yes they tie together but really it feels like nobody communicated, each artist just made their song and emailed it to Damon.
