Eyeing the U-turn Orbit Audio for $310. Too much?

Nah but an ATLP120 is a much better buy
It's a little cheaper and a clone of the legendary Technics SL1200
>>72514719
But alot of people have that one, there fore it's bad
Currently using a Fluance RT81. Liking it so far but looking to upgrade to something better soon
>>72514719
I'm just looking for something with a counterweight but none of that useless USB conversion bullshit
>>72514781
Don't worry about the usb stuff. You want the ATLP120 because it's direct drive, and built solid as a rock
>>72514686
Just find a Sony, Pioneer, or Technics from the 80s for half the price.

>that useless USB conversion bullshit
You don't have to use it

Reminder that there's nothing wrong with budget turntables like crosley or the lp-60
>>72514807
That's not as cost effective as it used to be, most counter weighted tables run about $100 and after a new needle and a pre-amp (which all these new tables include) it really isn't that good of a deal
>>72514756
I hear those deteriorate after a few hours of use. How long have you had it?
>>72514849
The ATLP120 preamp is notoriously bad though
>>72515358
Yea I know but it's more than enough for a normie
>>72515083
another Fluance RT81 owner here, it's honestly the best sounding record player i've owned, although i did upgrade from a pioneer pl-990. been using it at least 1 hr/day for the past 3 months and it still sounds great
>>72515442
That's still pretty new, mate.
