Used to be good but after the second album they fell off a bit, this could of been that they tried to get edgier with singing about demons and shit but I think it's because the emo/goth scene thing started to decline

From a marketing perspective, it's kind of genius. They cashed in on the Hot Topic scene fashion of the time, but they also dress like 80s hard rock so they don't alienate middle aged people, and so non-emo-pop kids don't write them off. But their actual sound has nothing to do with any of that - it's perfectly calculated radio post-grunge like Creed, but even lighter, mellower, and cleaner than that. It's literally like they were designed in a test tube to be the perfect rock product for their time.
