Let's keep it cool for a while senpais
You listen to anything good lately? Did you buy some records/go to a show or shit like that?
I saw this great industrial band called Morfeo a couple days ago at a Sofar Sounds show, completely floored.
I also remembered how much I like Honor Killed The Samurai so I'm vibing to this at 2am.
Share whatever you want, chat a bit, just don't be a fag

My friends playing shitty edm over our speaker, but we're both drunk because he broke up with his gf of 4 years. I'm trying to cheer him up. I wish I was listening to New Order at least though, but whatever makes him not want to an hero right now

recently heard a nice and moody folk-ish EP called Holy Cross

had a friend go through a break up with a girl off 3 years and all he wanted to do was smoke weed and listen to shit like modern baseball, normies have shit taste in break-up music
I've been listening to lots of Talking Heads lately, I hope this era gets it's own defining band. I just don't feel like Trap/Cloud rap will be as warmly looked back upon despite being the defining sounds of the 10s.

>normies have shit taste in break-up music
People just like hearing shit that makes them nostalgic when they're sad

>I hope this era gets it's own defining band
I don't think that'll happen anon

They do, but as long as he doesn't kills himself. I've been there before and he's a nice person.

I know, that's why I said "I hope". Even the late 90s/2000s had Green Day and Smash Mouth, which, while of dubious quality, are pretty era defining. Closest the 2010s have to a defining artist is Kanye (and I more see him as a late 2000s guy) and Kendrick who is more of a sub-mainstream hero than something that everyone loves.
Maybe I'm just old and out of touch, though.

Man I found a saetia record in my local record store for 20 bucks was quite the deal. I'm about to try and write a song too. What a nice thread

"New York screamo band"
What do you recommend from them anon?
>>72500111
I'm just saying it definitely won't be a band, it'll be a hip hop act. And yeah, Kanye was '00s, Kendrick is '10s.
I want to start a band but I don't know what kind of band or where to find people; I tried electronic producing for awhile but I didn't enjoy that much.
I also want to start a record label someday but I do not know how to do that either.

Wish I could give you some advice anon but all the bands I've ever been in have been formed with friends because an awful lot of them are musicians, and very competent.
Starting a label isn't as complicated as it sounds.
