Yeah I agree, I've listened to a lot of more experimental music, but no shit hits me like Werid Fishes does (GOAT song IMO)
>>72492628
fine taste, how does Pygmalion compare to souvlaki? I never really got into shoegaze as much as I'd like and that album always bored me
>>72493626
you really need to listen to more music, try Techno Animal, Food For Animals, Digable Planets, and Jesu for starters
>>72493977

Pygmalion is what happens when you cross post-rock era Talk Talk and Victorialand era Cocteau Twins. It's my favorite out of their four, give it a shot.

>I like everything on your chart except for The Dismemberment Plan, what do you like about that record?
it's got a lot of character to it and manages to convey its themes very well through both the music and the lyrics
but really, it's just a great power pop album. every track has something different going for it that is instantly recognizable
couple that with great drumming, great lyrics/vocals and great songwriting and you've got a fantastic album
idunno, I just like it
>>72494676
that sounds fucking amazing, I absolutely will
>>72494531

>>72494754
thanks for your explanation, I'll have to give it another listen, usually I'm a big fan of albums with creative drumming, but sometimes it takes me a few tries to notice it
>>72494818
it's not for everyone. I can see how it's easy to hate it
I stopped being that much into music since like 2014 since my HDD died with all the music I had collected since 2011.
I just recently (2 days ago) came back into /mu/
I had to make a quick list, but I feel I've missed so much stuff. I started listening to 98.12.28 and it's just so great.
>>72494543
this is considered one of his worst albums, but i love it, no matter what people say
>>72494628
i didn't get offended, but why do you say that?
I have already listen to some coil and flaming lips albums
anyway, thanks for the recs!

Check out Oval - 94diskont.
And Gas - Pop if you haven't already
>>72494980
I say that because every album on your chart is frequently posted here and not one is more than 30 years old, which makes me assume that you get most of your recs from this board and maybe a few mainstream publications, which means that there's a lot of older and less frequently discussed music you might love and could be missing out on. It's also possible you just like modern, popular music and not much else, but I think that most people have pretty diverse taste, when they explore, they just don't explore. Does that make sense?
>>72492628
Frusciante lover here
>>72493785
I would check out Abyss first I guess. That was the first of hers I heard. If you like Nine Inch Nails, you'll probably like Chelsea's stuff.
