Owen - The King of Whys
Not sure what I think of it. Really like American Football tho. Think I like it.
What other Kinsella shit is worth checking out?
Mars Volta is my shit dude. I prefer the bedlam in Goliath over deliused but it's a close second

>listening to an album while browsing
Will listen to this when I'm done eating.
some Wu-Tang x Jimi Hendrix album I found in the archive a few months ago
it's pretty good actually
>>72490683
Bedlam is badass. I've just recently gotten big into TMV. I like to take it an album at a time in no particular order. But I ended up starting with De-loused.
Nothing, but the first track on de-loused is amazing. Haven't gotten into TMV otherwise, but holy shit that song is great.
Schulze's Cyborg
I've got about 2:05:00 left....
Hollinndagain at this moment.
First time listening. Cool album so far
Pretty obscure pop, from Syria IIRC.
Here's a sample:

You can find it on the Ghost Capital blog in 320kbps if you want more
It's comfy
>>72490637
Why don't more albums use the continuous story format? This is great so far.
ha ha charade you are
>>72490683

I've got the 1996 Boris - Absolutego going at the same time as the re-released low frequency version from 2001 playing at the same time. I'm having a lot of fun.
>>72490743
It's alright. Listing to Argus as I type.
de-loused is one of the greatest albums of this millenium for sure, but frances is a tad overrated by its fanboys. the good stuff on that one is still fucking excellnt, but there is about 20 minutes of runtime on that record that serve no feasible purpose except to entertain people who are either stoned out of their mind or genuinely autistic
not sure whether i want to check out any of their other stuff, i've heard about the diminishing returns with their albums and so far the pattern holds imho
this shit is so great. if bob died after the release of this it would be blackstar before blackstar
anyone else here like lofi hiphop?
>>72490637
not that piece of shit
It's growing on me despite the hate it gets
>>72490637

if you are a musician, amputechture and bedlam are highly recommended, but nothing after that.
if you can't play an instrument, just stop where you are.
Best Brazilian album.

Owen is the only other Kinsella stuff I've fallen in love with

>if you can't play an instrument, just stop where you are.
What does this even mean? I've listened to all their albums and Noctourniquet is the only one I could really say isn't that good
I feel like hardly anyone listens to the Moody Blues apart form Days of Future Passed, but goddamn this one is good I'm realising.
>>72495495

Am I the only one who can't see the appeal of France's the Mute?
I find it less energetic, more drawn out and lacking the catchy hooks the other albums have
This one atm

The transition from Dance or Die to Faster still floors me. This shit is so damn good.

finally giving swans a real chance. the seer is next. i dig what i hear so far.
just released internationally (originaly from late 2016 in japland)
awesome album but im bitter that it doesn't count as aotycontender
>>72504480
dude start with Filth and Cop so you can see how much they changed. Filth and Cop are both incredible in a totally different way.
>>72501189
Frances still has the energy and hooks, it's just that you have to wade through a lot of ambient noise to get to those parts. I used software to trim the beginnings to Miranda and Frances the Mute and those songs became fine. That still doesn't save the album for me, but I still enjoy listening to it as background music for something else. By itself, it doesn't engage that well, at least on repeat listens.
With all that being said, Octahedron is the only album where I really just want to skip songs. I never hear anyone talking about it, and I guess it's for good reason.
>>72490674
Check out Cap'n Jazz or Owls
Maybe some of his brother's earlier work in Joan of Arc.
How is it so good?
>>72490637
hey thats pretty good

>>72490653
His best album by a long shot. Coincidentally I'm listening to Another One right now. It sucks but "Another One" and "A Heart Like Hers" are amazing songs.

Adam sandler is the best frontman for this band.
>>72490637
Do we all like this album again? I've seen it sperged on here like crazy in the past week.
I actually have a mousepad with this album cover on it because it's the album which sparked my interest in music. It is really a great album. Not as amazing as when I listened to it when I was younger but it's still objectively great music.

Getting over a breakup with this and lots of cigarettes and booze. Judge me.
Pretty underwhelming Jesu, desu.
