>all your music collection has been destroyed, and your files erased
>the only way to get music now is on vinyl
>you walk into a record shop
What's the first few albums you look for to restart your collection?
King Crimson and Grimes.

I'm already building my vinyl collection in case that happens.

They definitely wouldn't have them in a record shop. I'd have to get them online.

I didn't say CDs though.
Vinyl is still playable after 70 years of its existence. CDs are only 30 years old and are already being corroded by time.

>tfw I only buy vinyl anyways
I hope all of your computers crash, and you don't have your shitty iTunes libraries backed up.

>possessions never meant anything to me.jpg
>implying I don't already own some 350 goddamn albums
albums I own digitally would mostly include obscure music from Africa, Japan, Latin America, etc. I'd have to hunt down some hard to find goodies though like some of Aphex Twin's stuff
In The Aeroplane
Bink Moon
Down Colorful Hill
STGSTV
Big Black - Songs about Fucking
Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
The Velvet Underground - White Light/White Heat
at least 6 black sabbath albums, then I can start buying lesser stuff

Some Elliott Smith.

>literal dust can scratch the disc and over time make it unplayable
>vinyl most delicate
Bruh my entire cd collection is basically unplayable now. Never buying a CD again. No point at all. If I want a cheaper option I buy digital, if I want a badass package and artwork I go vinyl. Not to mention vinyl tends to retain its value really well. I see absolutely zero reason to get CD if you want physical media.
Barf Wriggle- neglected woman
when I started getting into vinyl Coltrane's A Love Supreme was the first one I bought, so why not start with that again
when I lost essentially all my mp3's once, I restarted with Pink Floyd's Meddle, so that's another strong candidate - man needs his Echoes
in practice, I'd probably just walk into a second hand record store and start getting whatever good albums I see
>Beatles and Wacko Jacko
Thriller is perfection and I masturbate to Sgt. Peppers. Besides Im already building up a vinyl collection, even a CD collection in case that may survive, IM SAFE BITCHES.
