I'd agree that Swans is generally heavier than Boris (given that Boris also made forays into stoner rock and dream pop), but the heaviest that Boris has ever reached (Absolutego/Sun Baked Snow Cave) is heavier than Swans has ever reached (Public Castration). I like Boris more as well.

I kinda agree. Boris' Absolutego displays a more intense tension than Swans have ever accomplished. But Swans are masters of tension too.

Yeah, I love both bands, but I think that Boris reached the heaviest point that any well-known band on /mu/ has ever achieved. I love both bands, anyways. Also, checked.
swans are dead is the best music every created by man

Absolutego sounds heavier than PCIAGI but it's nowhere near as tense. Absolutego is a very easy listen. Nothing on it rises to half the height A Hanging does. I think you people are seriously underestimating PCIAGI, because it has more than just Coward (which is the best, but it's the softest)
How would y'all suggest I get into Boris? I'm a big Swans fan but >>72485056 mentioned they also make dream pop which is my favorite genre.

If you really like dream pop, I suggest starting with either New Album or Attention Please (Even though those albums are their worst imho, they still are severely underrated). When you're done with that, listen to their softer stuff like the two Heavy Rocks, and then Pink and Akuma no Uta after that. When you're done with those, listen to Flood (their best), then Feedbacker, to Amplifier Worship, then finish with Absolutego. When you're done with those, if you want more, listen to their recent albums like Noise and Praparat. Then listen to their contributions with Merzbow, Keiji Haino, and Michio Kurihara.
