"proto" is a retroactive label.
A well known example is protopunk; these are bands that were making punk-like music in the late 60's, before punk became an official, well known thing in the 70s. Protopunk bands would be like the velvet underground, the sonics, the stooges, while typical punks bands like the sex pistols and the ramones rose to fame in the 70s.

On the other hand, "post" is anything that's a result of the genre. It's influenced by the mother genre, but is its own animal. Going with the punk example, post punk would be mostly late 70s and 80s bands. Typical examples would be joy division, the cure, wire, etc.
Another example is grunge; Pearl jam (early 90s) is a grunge band and Creed (late 90s) is a postgrunge band

Led Zeppelin I's first side, Led Zeppelin III and Houses of the Holy are the only good Led Zeppelin albums. Led Zeppelin II also has it's moments. None of them are masterpieces and my favourite Led Zeppelin III I would only give a 7. Also Led Zeppelin IV is one of the worst classic rock records and Stairway is perhaps the most overrated song of all time. When the Levee Breaks is the only good song on that record.

Almost a good post. Physical Graffiti is their best. Led Zeppelin II is indeed only half good (Heartbreaker is one of their best songs), Led Zeppelin IV is massively overrated, only amazing song on that is When The Levee Breaks. Led Zeppelin III and Houses of The Holy are both fantastic.
