The white stripes is when rock started to go into retrograde. So probably Caravan Palace.

I disagree with that framing. I agree completely that the 00s were ridden with retro nostalgia, but IMO the 2010s have moved past that. There's a lot of very forward thinking stuff nowadays, so I don't see that focus on revivalism and nostalgia anymore.

Rock died after 2009

rock didnt die, it stopped being culturally relevant because all the sjw's and "cool" kids decided it was racist and not cool so they decided to help their capitalist overlords by promoting top 40 pop music instead.
I would say it stopped being promoted around the rise of EDM, like 2012, the last big gasp was indie rock, lcd soundsystem, arcade fire quirky hipster shit.
Like all actual rock or hard music has been wiped off the charts to make way for factory processed pop sluts an a grab bag of retarded and replaceable niggers named lil blah blah or some shit

true, even white hipsters turned their backs on rock and they only listen to black music now. Just look at how much /mu/ praises Kendrick Lamar, Kanye, Chance, etc
