But is most of it good? The majority of new content (i.e. things released in this year or since 2015) on these trackers is sourced from these digital services. Anything you wanted you could request and someone would grab it in exchange for upload credit. But how much of this music is unwanted? How much of it will never get listened to? Not even once?

>But how much of this music is unwanted? How much of it will never get listened to? Not even once?
meaning it's rare? A lot of it. Lacking listeners doesn't make a song bad.

I have enjoyed some of the more obscure digital only releases. I've bought a lot of them in fact. I can tell you from years spent digging through this shit that most of it isn't very good though. It's mostly musical shovelware.

Does spootify actually have all these great albums that have been popping up in my searches, or are they trying to bait me into giving them my data?
>>72482723
who?
>>72482761
They have them. Instead of their shitty free or paid service I'd recommend paying for one from another company. I use Google Play Music myself. They all have basically the same shit.

Want to add the reasoning for this. Some services do have meme exclusives but all of that is easily pirated. If you want to listen to Drake and Taylor Swift you don't even need a service like that. All the obscure or unpopular shit you want to listen to that's more difficult to pirate is the real reason to pay for a subscription. Using free Spotify gives you shit bitrates and forced advertising. Unless you're the poorest of poor fags I don't recommend it.

Yeah, this desu. I am a fan of Taylor Swift.
I use Apple Music and iTunes myself, assuming I am not torrenting my albums or buying my albums on either vinyl, CD, SACD, DTS Music CD, DVD-Audio or Music Blu-ray.
Spotify is just a stupid meme, it'll pass and Apple Music will reign supreme.
