The production on this album is WAAYY too fucking clean and shiny for it to ever be considered 10/10 in my opinion. Every single sound feels uncomfortably calculated. I prefer my rock music a lot more noisy/messy than Brand New.

If it wasn't for Madlib this album would be a 6/10 at best. This album reminds me a lot of Live.Love.A$AP. where the MC isn't doing anything amazing. They aren't getting in the way of the production either so it works, but there could be lyrical improvement.

I agree about the influence, I can't deny that even if I wanted to. But the songs go for too long and most of them don't give the "hypnotic" vibe (though, of course, some of them are great).
