No interconnectivity or overall concept. It's like a mixtape by one band, but that's really only a nitpick, as it stands by what it is, the band finding their footing. It's very obviously a 'first' album. Not a bad thing, because it's hard to find faults in something like that, since they're just trying different things, and since what they tried comes out pretty catchy or interesting, I don't think there's any particular flaw. Except maybe the remix at the end.

It's a fun album but it sounds like it was made for children. Listening as an adult, I can see how childish this album is.

It wasn't until Demon Days when Gorillaz started being serious about the music.

I'd say its very atmospheric and good for studying but cant command attention and some tracks like Clint Eastwood didn't do nothing to me. Catchy but sounds kinda of out of place

Starshine and that Man Clapper song are seriously the worst songs in the Gorillaz catalogue

aside from that it's a great album. yeah it's kinda kiddish but it's an album by a cartoon band, honestly what do you expect
