Opinions on new The New Pornographers and the band in general?
It's not 2005.
I could never take a band with such a name seriously

Shouldn't you be jerking over the latest FOTM trap album?

First three were lots of fun, but they've gotten way blander since then and I doubt they'll ever get back to that old quality =/

One of my favorite bands, new album was good but didnt have a shade on brill bruisers, which was their best since twin cinema.

i like it and i like them. at times they're a bit too clever for their own good and they've lost a spark of inspiration over the years but there's something to be said for technically proficient craftsmanship and yeomanlike consistency.
Am I the only person that thinks their live shows are always excellent and TNP are very lively and talent performers?

I'm sorry to hear you've never gotten to listen to Broken Social Scene.

Loved it. I thought I was over this type of music, but damn is it good.

Do they still have it in them after all these years?

They're one of my favorite bands and I really liked the new album even if it lacked the couple of Dan Bejar tracks the other albums have.
Only really listen for Dan Bejar. Apparently he's not on this album because he's working on new Destroyer which is great news.
