I think they take themselves somewhat seriously, they just seem non serious just because they happen to have that "childish" aesthetic branded on them (despite them seemingly trying to shake it off since MPP). Also because they're products of the mid 2000's and still use brightly colored, busy visuals that were more prevalent at that time, which can come off as kind of goofy.

You should watch videos of some of their early shows, they didn't seem much like the wiggles at all back then
