Is vinyl a meme?
No, but Crosleys are.

It used to be pretty good if you were skint as fuck. I amassed a small vinyl collection when I was a student, but that was in the years before Spotify and you could get anything from popular to rare and obscure albums from your local charity shop for less than £1.

and you call yourself a music fan?

Now I pay £20 a month for Tidal. I feel like a complete douchebag for it but for better or for worse I am anal enough (and have a decent enough setup) to tell the difference between lossless and MP3.

I hate Crosleys and I dislike Brand New, but the flowers are a nice touch, gives this picture a really nice aesthetic.

I like vinyl because a lot of the shit I look for you can't find on any other medium. Like I found this box set of a Soviet ensemble playing Beethoven and it's good as fuck. It will never be converted to mp3 or CD. Also old swing band stuff sounds better with the pops and cracks IMO.
Anyone that uses Crosley should be lobotomized

Not enough Radiohead to be one of those
If you're going to use VInyl why not go even further back and use Edison Cylinders and a Phonograph for the best sound quality?
