I'll put it a different way. Rolling Stone was once cool, dangerous, edgy. It got older, and it gradually became mainstream, then passe, then irrelevant. Pitchfork is going the same way. Used to be edgy, now they're mainstream, going on passe. Pitchfork replaced Rolling Stone, and now its time is running out.
