Saved Rap
>>72411405

>>72411405

>>72411405

>>72411405

>>72411405
About the size of your penis, which is to say extremely small
He had impact on Arizona sells profits. That's for sure.
>>72411405
he and his crew became legend and all the fuccbois look up to his m8 bladee
>>72411405
Not gonna lie. This dudes a huge influence on everything from trans-experimental folk to alternative noise country.
Now thats wavey boy
>>72411405
Wasn't he a major influence on the most recent Frank Ocean album?
he changed music
created trap
>>72412746
he's on one of the tracks actually
>>72411405
As an MC, less than zero.
As a medium for showing off the value of woozy cloud-rap production? A pretty fucking significant impact on the last three years of up-and-coming Soundclouders.
He's like a forgettable, bland, stale chip that turned out to have delicious and interesting salsa. Y'know? Do you know?
>>72411405
he's just lil B without anything interesting
>>72412045
>trans-experimental folk to alternative noise country.
lol wut?
>>72412936
Except ASAP Rocky already did that without
DUDE IRONY LMAO
This dude's impact is being a joke hack of a rapper with decent beats, no one cares anymore. That's why he lasted about a year before he fell off into complete irrelevance.
>>72411405
Not as much as PXXR GVNG but pretty close
>>72411405
He had a very strong impact on a very small niche
>>72413215
pxxr gvng is the most forgettable shit
>>72411488
you can't be older than 18
>>72412969
much nearer to the mark
>>72411405
Lol
>>72413030
>This dude's impact is being a joke hack of a rapper with decent beats
Yeah but there's a million of these guys on SC now following his whole sadboy schtick
It's funny to admit, but pretty big.
>>72411405
depends what culture you're talking about i guess
if music then idk i think he popularized cloud rap in a sense, other artists had done it before him but didn't manage to get that big on it
if you're talking like aestheticlly he had a pretty huge impact i'd say
>>72413030
Except Bones did that even before
But Yung Lean made it popular so fuck off
>>72413562
Bones was a mac miller clone til like 2012
He hopped on the memphis revival train after SGP made it cool
Yung Lean didn't popularize cloud rap at all, ASAP Rocky did with Live Love. Educate yourself.
>>72413830
You educate yourself. A$AP Rocky was nobody until Yung Lean came along, nobody even knew what "Cloud Rap" was.
Kys.
>>72411579
I know I was nutting in Arizona teas left & right
>>72413852
rocky was hardly "nobody" at all
yung lean did have a big role though. he's the reason ppl like lil uzi can talk about hentai and shit and nobody really cares
>>72414233
Lol he's the reason huh.
Because everyone who listens to Lil Uzi has heard of Yung Lean
>>72413830
are you kidding asap rocky was promoting "trill" shit
cloud was all lean
pioneered meme rap, without him kendrick wouldn't even exist
>tfw I unironically enjoy Warlord
>>72414272
I will not stand for this blatant revisionism >>72413852
"ASAP Rocky was a nobody until Yung Lean came along"
Actually he was getting underground buzz by collaborating with Clams Casino, THE premier Cloud Rap producer, as well as Main Attrakionz, and SGP.
>>72414233
Yung Lean had a role in hipster circles. It's why he was a flash in the pan.
>>72414272
Revisionist bullshit.
>>72415539
Lmao Clams Casino wasn't cloud rap before Yung Lean came along
in fact, nobody was
Yung Lean's popularity created the term in the first place, with top Bones songs like Deadboy and Calcium, the term got sealed as that particular style of music
then Rocky came along and realized he's doing something simillar by sheer accident, and after sucking off Skrillex and "trill" shit, he tried some cloud rapping, afterwards he realized he was complete garbage and tried to get Bones on his shit by sampling his song, then ofc Bones told ASAP to fuck off because he don't deal with normies
That's how it was, i was there.
>>72413329
yeah and nobody gives a fuck
>>72415597
Okay so you're baiting got it
>>72415767

All I needed to hear to know you're either baiting or wholly ignorant
>>72415830
i mean, he was doing his thing, it just wasn't called cloud rap back then, nobody knew what it was
until Lean shined and blew the fuck up and wack fucks like rocky copied his success, poorly at that
Kyoto city mah nigga

2011 is when that was posted
Yung Lean's career didn't start til 2012, at the very least months after LIVE LOVE was released, which was in 2011, even though songs like Leaf (also known as take 1) released months before that.
I'm sorry you're wrong and don't know what you're talking about.
>>72415954
Eh people didn't really refer to it as cloud rap so much until yung lean. Anyway the big cloud rap producers pre-2012 like clams and beautiful lou were mostly influenced by witch house and vocal sampling and the producers lean worked with made music that could be considered atmospherically similar, but was much more influenced by the attitudes of other internet "aesthetic" microgenres like seapunk and vaporwave.

>this genre is defined by my parameters
yeah no

Yeah, you're wrong, i'm right, thread closed.

Maybe on /mu/ but the rest of the internet called it Cloud Rap, that's what I heard frequently when talking of ASAP Rocky. Check the wiki article for Live Love

this
I always heard the term cloud rap associated with Live Love and the Long Live
Also most normies don't know who Yung Lean is
A$AP popularized cloud rap
>>72416243
yung lean
>>72416364
more normies know Yung Lean then A$$CLAP
Yung Lean was a meem, they read that the meem was called cloud rapp, so they jumped on the badwagon, and now and only now they start to find out that he did something simillar at some point and revise history because he is one of them.
fuck
>>72416611
literally who
Am I the only who finds it quite telling that it's fashionable in hip hop culture to squat down like a literal ape for photos?
very small. only white boys who have mostly grown out of his music cared.
