Blues artists even acknowledge that borrowing is how the genre has been able to stay alive for so long (coming up on a century) and is an important element of the genre itself. Fraud? no. They recorded 87 songs and wrote the vast majority of them. They also played their instruments extremely well and gave compelling live performances.

They were a very accomplished group.
