You're going to need to listen to this album multiple times - make sure you pay attention to the lyrics if you can. Some of them are very incredible.

It's a fantastic album, with great pacing, but Hvis Lyset Tar Oss, the album preceding this, is the superior.

This is good advice as well, and the one you should actually follow. Rundgang and Tomhet were meant to literally put you to sleep, after the chaos of the black metal tracks. Don't be intimidated by the 25 minutes of ambient, they fly by and are very well done.

Wow, never seen anyone else talk about Evilfeast on here. Wintermoon Enchantment is my favorite black metal album from this decade, but all his work is phenomenal. In my opinion, Evilfeast is the peak of atmospheric black metal. Grimspirit does absolutely everything right.

Honestly with Burzum, I'd just suggest going in chronological order up to the prison albums. The progression from the self-titled to Filosofem is unreal. Hard to believe he recorded all those albums within a year.
