No you're not. I even enjoy Danny Brown's voice because even if it's annoying it works in his music, and when he's not doing his meme voice it's actually pretty nice. Kendrick just has a shit voice period.

You're far from alone. The way he constantly says 'ay' in that voice makes me irrationally livid.

It does sound at times like an intentional/exaggerated rasp, like he's trying to sound extra hard.

He puts a lot of effort into his street cred for a guy who's considered more of a wordsmith than anything else.
