I dunno. Musicaly it is not that good, but the album sounds so weird, I just love it. Sound is shit, personality and concept is genius.

It doesn't try to come off as genius, so probably shit
Still one of my favorite records ever

ween clearly showcases musical chops on every release after this so its the choice to make such abrasive and strange songs that makes this so genius all former releases never went this far and its the peak of their career

I've listened to every Ween album except this and La Cucaracha, but I don't know if im that interested to hear Pure Guava because GodWeenSatan and The Pod seem like enough of lo-fi Ween

Do NOT skip out on pure guava. Easily one of Ween's best records. Strikes the perfect balance between their early lofi stuff and their later refined stuff. My personal Favorite.

Pure Guava has a lot of Lo-Fi shit in it. That being said, I initially only liked a few songs on it, and now it's one of my favorites. La Cucaracha is really hit or miss. Good album; not great Ween album. Even Gener said that the album was a mistake.
