Honestly the political theme just like much political discussion right now just seems forced and it's not as clever as Demon Days even though everything down to the art jusy says "Hey guys this is Demon Days 2!". Trump bashing is already played, and I can see myself getting... fuck I'm ready tired of hearing about Trump and dude's not even done with his first year.

If anyone remembers the Bush jokes and the music we got during the Bush era, that shit wore thin and when Obama got elected it was kind of a breath of fresh air since we didn't have to listen to comedians drop their best Bush sets anymore or musicians trying to hamfist a political opinion into music.

But my other criticism is that the Albarn is focusing too much on collabs with this album. This thing is bloated and my favorite Gorillaz tracks tend to be the Damon solo's or the ones where the track isn't solely riding on the power of the feature.

I need to hear way more of this one before I can just, so far everything has been hit (Acension, Andromeda), to ok (Saturn Barz), to eh (We Got the Power, the song with Pusha T, and the single just released).

Hope it all comes together.

Honestly they could cut the track listing down to 12, cut half the features, scale back the bombast and do way better than this. I was hoping for a return to s/t sound.
