Get in here lads
Ready for Mark to burp and shit his pants
So far I'm really enjoying it.
The amount of quality music mark kozelek puts out is unnatural.
It's already better than the first album.
>>72392984
Yeah, his collaboration stuff has been great.
Had no idea they were doing another album. Super glad, I really like the pairing.
What artist should Mark collaborate with next?
>>72393093
dr john misty
>>72393093
Varg Vikernes.
>>72393093
Post Quebec Sad Ween
>>72392919
Damn he's BTFO of his fans on track 2. What an ungrateful prick.
NEED
LINK
>>72393093
Steve Shelley
>>72393093
Merzbow
Damn how'd you hear about that link OP? It's not even shared on the site home/news pages yet. Can't wait to see how this is.
>>72393293
OP is Mark obviously
>>72393093
Sunn O)))
I wish Rollercoaster era Mark, could collab with Silver era Justin
I want it so bad.
>>72393293
oh p4k nm
how long is it? is it another two-hour epic?
Bomb is the best track, almost sounds like BADBADNOTGOOD if they were actually GOODGOODNOTBAD, there are funny moments that are just funny in a well written way, not a "markposting" way if that makes any sense. I love how he includes inside jokes from his live shows as well. The last track sounds like it could be on common as light or even Benji and might even be better than some tracks off those albums. I wouldn't be surprised if some of these tracks were just sun kil moon songs without jesu at all.
8/10 could get even better
Much, much better than s/t
>>72393540
77 minutes, however it has his longest ever song that's 17 minutes
>>72393584
what is it like instrumentally?
>>72393620
really atmospheric and "airy" sounds like staring off into the misty clouds, but it has light yet industrial sounding percussion. really good song, some really funny jokes in there and nice synth sounds
This is his best album since Benji imo
>>72393713
I meant the album in general lol
Anyone ripping it?
how many times does he mention ohio
>>72393741
>>72393237
someone needs to get on this shit
>>72393741
Yeah, this.
>>72393620
>>72393737
oh ok, there are literally sections that sound like a Sun Kil Moon and Jesu mashup, the song "Hes bad" is literally a classical guitar loop with an industrial beat, the way they mix and match their styles is different but, somehow it works.
Luckily there are no songs like Carondeletasdfavasdf where hes screaming his brains out about cats over some ugly guitar riff for eight minutes. Its a much more quiet and moody album, and since it takes itself less seriously it allows you to take it more seriously when the actual serious parts hit.
Not as good as CAL but it is still really good
>>72393749
Actually none I'm pretty sure
>>72393843
sounds great, I need a download though, I would really prefer to not stream it
Why am I laughing so hard at the "hey mark" part of the second track
>>72394065
That part and the
BIKES
BIKES
BIKES part of bombs are some of the funniest things he's written, it's obviously a joke though
DOWNLOAD WHEN
there's a 80% chance i'm gonna go ughhh shut the fuck up mark
really haven't been feeling any of his stuff since benji
>>72393102
can't believe this meme isn't gaining more traction, I laugh every time. probably because most kids here haven't actually listened to the new SKM record.
>>72394932
Don't worry
BIKES BIKES BIKES is probably going to be the next meme
>>72395158
It will be once we a download.
30 seconds to the decline of planet earth > Common As Light and Love Are Red Valleys of Blood

Old Ramon > Your favorite Mark album
O F F I C I A L M A R K R A N K I N G
DCH= Benji> Admiral Fell Promises> Ocean Beach> Rollercoaster> Ghosts> Common As Light> 30 seconds> April> Universal Themes> Bridge> Among The Leaves

>>72396073
>Among the Leaves that low
Explain yourself.
did you guys know this guy released a shit load of AC/DC covers in the early 2000s and made a whole tribute album. Why
>>72396089
Just by default man
>>72396146
It's actually one of his best albums desu.
>>72396146
Because they worked surprisingly well
>>72396073
>DCH= Benji
>Admiral Fell Promises>
Yeah not going to bother reading the rest of this. Embarrassing
>>72396291
You don't like AFP? Why?
>>72393093
its a shame Joanna Newsom's voice changed, their harmonies could've been great if she still sounded like she did on Ys
I can't rank all of Mark's work together but here's my RHP rankings:
Ocean Beach > Old Ramon > Songs for a Blue Guitar > Rollercoaster > Down Colorful Hill > Bridge
>>72396073
What about Perils from the Sea?
>>72393093
Tim Kinsella
>>72396347
To be honest I haven't really kept up with his solo stuff, mostly his EPs, SKM and RHP
This is actually really good desu
>>72396291
I agree wtf
Compare Down Colorful Hill title track to something like Dogs, it's surprised they are the same artist, not saying Benji is bad, but DCH is a classic
>>72396368
I'm liking it so far as well desu
>>72396361
Oh, check it out sometime, it's good.
>>72396399

>singing about a junkie dropping her needles all over Disney World
Goddamn, I love Mark.
2017 is a good year for Mark
>>72393093
Godflesh

He mentioned how he hates terrorists and child molester and how Michael Jackson is a kiddie rapist.
I'm gonna return some day, I know it (some day)
I'm gonna buy me a home looking over the river in Oporto (river in Oporto)
Gonna get me a plate of melon and prosciutto and grilled sardines, a cup of coffee, and a bowl of gazpacho (bowl of gazpacho)
The USA can't pull the guns from the trolls of the country I live in
Can't get a grip on gun control

>>72404589
Honestly it's getting hard to tell the difference between markposting and actual lyrics now.
Does this mean Markposting is gonna make a comeback?
>>72405316
God I hope so. It got people to make a lot of great images back in February.
so what would you guys rate this new album?
>>72396073
From what I've heard (not heard it all)
DCH>Ghosts>Ocean Beach>Bridge>Benji>Rollercoaster>Common as Light>Universal Themes>Jesu/sunkilmoon
>>72406948
>DCH
What's DCH?
>>72406948
>>72407001
Oh, nevermind, we're including RHP
>>72392919
how on earth did Jesu and Mark manage to make something this terrible?
it honestly sounds they improvised the whole thing on the spot. what a disappointment
friendly reminder that mark is the most innovative artist today . . . 30 years after he started making music under RHP
greatest songwriter in the world
I love it, I'd say it's a solid 8/10, but I still like Common As Light better.
>holy mother of fuck Holland loves their fucking bikes
Best part
>>72393843
Carondelet is such a good song.......
>>72404656
lmfao
i loved their selftitled so much, very excited :)
>I got love for the haters, I even got alotta love for the alligators mmmmm blackened alligator iss da fucking behst
why did they do it again, their previous collab album sucked
>>72408155
yeah, by dispensing with the songs he's really taken songwriting to the terminal point
>>72409131
This one is better. Justin's music matches Mark's vocals both in tone and mixing.
>>72393093
Imagine a SKM Jim O'Rourke album
Does anyone have a 320 of Rollercoaster? Archive not working
>>72393155
This would be amazing.

Musician I can think of
>>72410045
Holy shit. Thank you
I love The Greatest Conversation Ever, up there with some of the best Mark tracks for me. Really like the sounds Jesu is putting out for these collab records.
>if you don't like this song or what I have to say then fuck off and listen to Bye Bye Miss American Pie
>>72410239
I haven't been spending much time on 4chan lately. Is 'muh' dead yet? Or did you just kill it with that post?
