Comeback stuff is underrated solely on the count that it's not terrible but a lot of people treat it like it is

I've only listened to a little bit of their new stuff. It's not very good and I try to pretend it doesn't exist. It sounds like a band impersonating the Pixies and it makes me sad. They should've just not done it

I can see how people could like the sound of Surfer Rosa better, but yeah, Doolittle is a much more consistently better album. Surfer Rosa drops off after Cactus

I honestly think Trompe le Monde is just as good as Surfer Rosa. Doolittle reigns supreme of course but its all good

They were alright, but nowhere as good as their influence would lead one to believe. Surfer Rosa is my favorite by them. I find Doolittle to be one of the most overrated rock albums of all time along with London Calling.

At least Pixies had some redeemable qualities, unlike the backwards ass Clash.

Trompe Let Monde has a few really good songs, but most if shows how much the band was falling apart, and the inner conflict did not manifest in good material... just lazy, half-assed songs.
