Can Uncanny Valley be applied to music?
According to vaporfags, yes.

I guess that would require something to sound so real that it sounds like it's in the room with you. I think it could probably be achieved with really high quality recordings and a good stereo setup.
i dunno but that pic scared the shit out of me when i first saw it in the movie

Absolutely! Any of Angelo Badalamenti's stuff

or other experiences ive had are like sirens in a song while in a car and thinking its the cops. or ive heard whistling in music while at my home when i lived with my parents and would often times think it was my dad whistling because he would often whistle along to songs. ive also been listening to music then thought i heard someone talking downstairs or something.
it was done on synclavier which electronically generates sound.
more on zappa and the synclavier:
>For the remainder of his career, much of Zappa's work was influenced by his use of the Synclavier as a compositional and performance tool. Even considering the complexity of the music he wrote, the Synclavier could realize anything he could dream up.[170] The Synclavier could be programmed to play almost anything conceivable, to perfection: "With the Synclavier, any group of imaginary instruments can be invited to play the most difficult passages ... with one-millisecond accuracy—every time".[170] Even though it essentially did away with the need for musicians,[171] Zappa viewed the Synclavier and real-life musicians as separate.[170]

not really. its intentionally investigating the uncanny valley in relation to sound as well as perception, memory, space and time.

that's not an example of uncanny valley
Maybe doesn't count but R+7 always gives me that uncanny valley feeling.
