OP's choice is great, but so are these. A couple of years ago I went through a breakup with someone I cared a great deal about, and was also stuck working 5 AM shifts for a bit. I'd have a few hours to myself where I could play anything and be miserable as fuck by my lonesome self. Both of these albums got a fair bit of rotation, which is strange because there are some surprisingly cheery moments on that Youth Lagoon record. Looking back on it, I think the use of "Hibernation" in the album title coupled with the warm, fuzzy, lo-fi charm of the record just made me think about clocking out and going home to crawl back into bed.

Forgot to mention that I got in a good bit of Tim Hecker, Grouper, Codeine, Burial, The Caretaker / Leyland Kirby, Planning for Burial, and Mogwai's CODY in there. That whole stretch of time lasted a lot longer than it should have.
Big wheels turnin
