Bowie is the most unremarkable vocalist of all time. I've heard most of his studio albums and I still couldn't recognize his voice if you played a track I haven't heard.

Exactly why I like him. Sometimes a beautiful voice makes me uncomfortable. He always sounds like he's broken into the recording studio. Strangely when I was first getting into him, I'd hear tracks of his on the radio I'd never heard before and not realize it was him.
