Was actually a very comfy era for music. Was in my early teens going through that phase where
>The Strokes, The Libertines, The White Stripes, Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Interpol, The Vines, The Darkness, The Hives, Arcade Fire, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
2001 to 2005 was so much more comfy for the rawk than this current era.

the early 2000s "post-punk revival" was one of the blandest phases in rock

What's /mu/'s opinion on the subject of "New York City Cops" vs "When it Started"?
Which Strokes song do you prefer? And why?
>>72368985
the walkmen and the vaccines
I think what did you expect from the vaccines came out in 2011 though
>>72369078
New York City Cops
>>72369081
The Walkmen are better than 99% of the "indie era" rock bands and for whatever reason they were completely forgotten. It's a shame. Bows+Arrows holds up.
Lots of great UKGarage And dubstep, was cool

They were both really shit but at least the early 2000s had some 90s stuff left over
>>72370395
I feel like whoever made this was not really around in the early 2000s.
All Star by Smash Mouth was firmly a 1999 thing. Yeah I get it, it was in Shrek, but it had already gone out of radio rotation by the time Shrek came out. I just looked it up and it fell off of the top 40 after the summer of '99.
N'Sync and Discman might have extended into the very early 2000s but they are more associated with the late 90s. Discman specifically - MP3 players were already huge by the time the iPod came out and that was like in 2002. I got my first one in 2000, and I had a Discman in the mid 90s and we were a pretty poor family so it's not like we were early adopters.
Anyway I'm an autist.

Damn, they had a lot of really classic songs.
