I found this guy on Twitter through that dude @big_business_. He usually tweets about rappers, but he tweeted this pop album from this guy, saying he's gonna be big. It turns out it's actually brilliant. Some of this stuff sounds like Toro y Moi, some of it sounds like Talking Heads, and there's even some alt. rap and power ballad stuff on here. And it's supposedly his debut, which is impressive, considering all of the styles on here. It could be more polished (the album doesn't sound like it was recorded in a big studio), and his voice isn't the greatest, but I imagine he's just getting started.

tl;dr - I think this guy made an incredibly diverse, entertaining pop album, and it's insane if this is really his debut.
Thoughts?
Chess On The Beach is a classic
Checks out so far, second song has a sample I recognize from somewhere
America is dope. Shoulda got Trump to do the Adlibs. Would have been Huge... Bigly
why is this actually good? he sounds like a jukebox that can play anything
Definitely a different sound than today's music. That Devotion track is sensational
This is pretty cool, I hear you on the Toro similarities, kinda gets a little too similar for my taste though. Not bad, that Turquoise song sounds like Rick Astley took a shit on a Motorola though. I give it a 7/10, might give it an extra .5 if that Devotion song didn't make me feel like my girlfriend just got picked up and put on some festival bro's shoulders so she could see Halsey's Coachella set better. 7.5/10 album rating, would feel again.

Hmm I thought Turquoise was one of the cooler songs. It channeled new wave and disco which I personally think are two great genres so maybe thats why im keen towards it. The a-a-a-a-a part was cheesy though.
Fuckity shit gud
Bump.
It's getting better with each listen.

There's a finite number of spots in pop music these days but I could definitely see this getting accepted by a wide audience it sounds like festival music
