I have a feeling Buckley does these Musical Autopsies because of his rabid fans. He knows he can just take any generic pop song, not even try to fully critique them, and his pseudo-intellectual fans would just eat it up. He's not a big music fan either, but makes those videos anyway because it's his most popular segment. He even makes fun of his fans who constantly ask when is his next Musical Autopsy in every single video he uploads. He probably hates talking about music in the first place, but forces himself to for the sake of holding on to his only relevant fanbase.
