Between the Sennheiser HD 201 and HD 202-II monitor headphones, which ones would be a better choice for music production?
Something to consider:
- I do not own any external audio interface, only the one from my laptop.
- Creating music is my hobbie, something that I can come home exhausted from work and enjoy doing. Not a professional
career nor in pursuit of one.
- I mainly produce electro/chill, maybe with a flavor of hiphop sometimes.
- Price difference is not significant for my decision.

Neither, just spend a little bit more and get the 280. They're super common in actual studios.

I have the hd 201 right now
the bass is non-existent but you can hear the highs clearly. too clear..

any other studio headphone recs with the same price range as this one?

Hi there. I have owned both of them.
Either go with what >>72291349 says, or if you can't find the 280 get the 202 at least, which is leagues better than the 201. The 201 is cheap but very fragile.
I would also recommend you to invest in an external DAC to really make the headphones worth it.

What DAC would you recommend?

What's your budget?

50 EUR.
Consider that this is an hobby.

>HD202
I own them, but don't use them anymore. They are uncomfortable (they are practically on-ears), the construction is a joke, and the cable is approx. 25 ft long. I would rather get M30/m40x, sony mdr, or akg k 240
