I can imagine everyone disagrees, but I really think Joanna Newsome is talented and good as hell. Her lyrics are kinda annoying and too whimsical, and the longs are long as shit, but what other female pop-ish act sings that well and plays an instrument, let alone something as hard to play as the harp?

Nico, duh. Also Molly Drake maybe, but she also made cheesy fucking love songs as well. Marika Hackman maybe. Joanna Newsom has an interesting sound.
