Because political discussion in general is cringeworthy. A lot of people tend to go into a debate already aligned with a side, and not open to listening to new ideas. Rather, it seems like they show up to a debate to act like backup in a fight, rather than someone willing to hear out new ideas and rationalize why they may or may not be right by some philosophical or logical standards. Even worse than that, a lot of people like to enter into debate about completely foreign topics that they have done absolutely zero prior research on, and will spout whatever hairbrained idea they come up with that continues to support their current view of the world, instead of taking an objective look at the problem.
To top the cake off, political rap (and political podcasts/youtube series, and other one man shows) gets really cringeworthy because its not a discussion at all. Its an echo chamber where one person spouts their views.
