The White Birch is a much stronger album and uses that gloomy sound better, I don't know why Frigid Stars is so much more popular

Frigid goes further with the weird kinda lazy but not actually lazy feel of depression. So yeah, White Birch is in a way musically more interesting since it does more, Frigid Stars is the one that I at least feel does a better job of portraying that overwhelming kinda sluggish feeling of depression.
